The Atomic Backland Race Pack was designed specifically for ski mountaineering (Skimo) racing in collaboration with Atomic athlete Davide Magnini. The pack focuses on stability, fit, and efficiency, remaining secure even when fully loaded with race gear and skis.

 

Built with a running-vest-inspired design, it provides comfortable carry and convenient access during demanding races and fast ascents. The diagonal Secure Speed Ski Carry system allows users to attach and retrieve skis without removing the pack.

 

The pack includes space for mandatory race equipment, a hydration system, avalanche safety gear, crampons, climbing skins, race documents, and an ice axe. A tow rope is also included. The dedicated crampon and skin compartment can be accessed without removing the pack, helping reduce transition times during races.
