The Salsa Beargrease Eagle 70 is an aluminum fat-tire bike designed for snowy singletrack, winter ultra events, bikepacking, and all-terrain adventure riding. Its UDH-ready aluminum frame provides a high stiffness-to-weight ratio for efficient pedaling and long-term durability.

 

Modern mountain-bike-inspired geometry delivers stability and control in snow, soft terrain, and technical conditions. A 65.6° head tube angle and 446mm rear center create a long wheelbase for confidence at speed, while a 77° seat tube angle improves rider positioning and traction. Lower standover height makes mounting and dismounting easier in deep snow.

 

The oversized 27.5 x 4.5" wheel and tire platform offers exceptional flotation, traction, and rollover capability for rocks, roots, sand, snow, and loose terrain. The redesigned Bearpaw Aluminum fork adds cargo carrying capability and supports suspension forks up to 100mm travel.
